WHAT IS HOLLYWEED?

Hollyweed was born in 2020 with the idea of breaking with the traditional offered by cannabis associations until then. A club where members and collaborators are responsible for growing and maintaining a community, with which to share and delve into the cannabis culture of Barcelona.

In Barcelona, Hollyweed is not only a reference to the Los Angeles cartel, but also the name of one of the most important Cannabis Social Clubs (CSC) the best known in the city.

Unlike the «coffee shop» concept in Amsterdam, these places operate under an associative model specific to Spain. Here's what it is and how it works:

What is Hollyweed Barcelona?

It is a cannabis association located in the Nou Barris neighborhood (specifically on Carrer d'Escòcia). It describes itself as a space with a «rock but elegant» style, designed not only for consumption, but also as a social and cultural center.

Characteristics of the site

  • Environment: It is a spacious place with sofas, co-working friendly tables, live music, pool tables and screens to watch sports or movies.

  • Activities: They organize community events such as exclusive tastings, concerts, cannabis cooking workshops and film sessions.

  • Quality: They focus on offering selected products and advice from trained personnel to provide guidance on the different strains.

Access Rules (Important)

To enter Hollyweed (or any club in Barcelona), you must comply with the legal regulations in force in Catalonia:

  1. Become a member: You can't just walk in and buy. You must register as a member of the association.

  2. Age of majority: The minimum age is usually 21 years old (although legally it is 18, many prestigious clubs keep the limit at 21).

  3. Invitation/Registration: They generally require a current member to endorse you or complete a pre-registration through their website before physically presenting yourself.

  4. Identification: It is mandatory to present an official identity document (DNI, NIE or Passport).

Legal note: Cannabis consumption in Spain is only legal in private spaces (such as your home or these clubs). Consuming or carrying cannabis on public roads can lead to administrative fines.
